David Rubin - Author, Speaker & ex-Mayor of Shiloh

David Rubin

David Rubin grew up in the United States where he was educated in the New York public school system and American universities and taught in schools in New York at college, secondary and elementary levels. About twenty years ago while pursuing a doctorate in Education at Columbia University David also carried out extensive research into Jewish history. He began to explore his roots in depth leading him to the conclusion that his future was not in the world of American academia but rather in the Land of Israel.

In 1992 David moved to the village of Shiloh in the heart of what the world media mistakenly refers to as "The West Bank". He built his home there and together with his wife is
raising his growing family on a hilltop not far from Ancient Shiloh.

On 17th December 2001 David and his then three-year-old son were seriously wounded in a vicious shooting attack on their car by Muslim terrorists.  They were miraculously saved from death and David now goes out to tell his horrific but inspiring story to the world along with the reality of what's happening in the Biblical Heartland.

David has established the Shiloh Israel Children's Fund to help the children who have been so traumatized by the terrorists' war against Israel. Funds raised to date have been used to provide direct aid to orphans who have lost parents through terror attacks, for bulletproof vests for children and to build playgrounds in the pioneering communities that have suffered the most from the terror war against Israel.
